The first of many blossoms I have photographed this Spring.
I took this a month ago in Christchurch while on a walk in the neighbourhood hills.
I love the freshness of new blossoms and all that they signify!!
Have a lovely day 🙂
The Corpse Flower (amorphophallus titanum), which flowered earlier this year in the Auckland Domain Winter Garden.
These are the biggest flowers in the world, and the flower scent is said to be that of a corpse, which attracts pollinating insects to it.
Unfortunately, I could only visit it after it had faded a bit, however it remained very impressive!
